Are crunchie bars as strong as bone under stress? A-level physics home learning activity.
A practical that can be completed at home using simple equipment to help A-level physics students develop an understanding of compressive stress.
The worksheet guides students through some measurements they can do at home using crunchie bars. There are also some analysis activities and practice at using the equation for calculating stress.

I designed this for my year 12 students to complete at home during lockdown. They’ve enjoyed doing it and got quite good results, so I hope your students enjoy too.
