Following on from the story After the storm, we linked in science of testing materials. Children were asked to build a new roof for Percy's shed after it started leaking in the storm. Pupils built their own shed and tested the different materials to see if they were waterproof or not. Powerpoint includes 'odd one out' discussion starters about materials before explaining the task. Activity sheet for pupils to complete at the end of the experiment.
