Maths meetings:

Maths meetings are a great way to embed key mathematical skills and vocabulary into children daily. In this termly plan, I have broken down learning for Year 3/4 children to practise key skills. These include:

  • Number bonds to 10, 20, 50 and 100
  • Times table practise
  • Times table conceptual understanding
  • Counting through zero
  • Place value with 3 digits and 4 digits.
  • Rounding

Remember, there is no such thing as too much practise

Please not that it does not include specific activities just an overview of what you should cover. The purpose of a maths meeting is for discussion not getting workbooks out.

Some ideas taken from NRICH and NCETM.

This was made in one day and there may be some grammatical error. I am very happy to receive feedback

I will be planning the other two terms so let me know if you would like to see it
