Measuring and measurement, practical problem solving, surface area and volume

A carousel of 6 practical measurement activities that I designed or adapted for difficult to engage but practically minded construction students aged 16 and 17. Tasks include; cutting masking tape to fit around cylinder, working out how many balls fit in a box, finding connection between circumference and diameter, examining relationship between surface area and volume.
Suitable for Functional Skills Levels 1 and 2, Key Stage 3. Tasks take 10-15 minutes each. There are opportunities to scaffold tasks and/or differentiate by task. Self checking of answers by measurement or calculation or observation. Teacher notes included.
