This product contains 100 medical terminology words (each on a slide) followed by their meaning (each on a slide). Some examples include: pericardium, cardiomalacia, orchiectomy, hyperemesis, rhinitis, endometrial, myeloma, and many more!

Competition- I divide the class into two teams and have 3 students from each team compete at one time (I use popsicle sticks to select students/teams). I purchased inexpensive individual “buzzers” from the Dollar Tree and each of the 6 competing students receive one. The medical term is displayed on the board and the instructor (or a student) reads the term. Students buzz in after the word has been read in order to let everyone process the word. After five terms, I select 3 new students from each team to compete, again using popsicle sticks. This continues until all terms have been read (or until the class ends!). The students enjoy the competitive nature of this game!

Students can view the Power Point and write down the answer on included answer key and then grade their own paper as they go along.
