Mes amis ( La vie de Lucie ) - Reading Comprehension worksheet - GCSEs

This resource -‘Mes amis (La vie de Lucie), is a reading-comprehension text that allows for independent work either in the classroom or at home.
This may be used as a supplementary resource to reinforce existing knowledge. It covers a topic ‘ Mes amis’ that is common to most curricula, including the GCSEs and the IBDP ab initio, but in a manner that is easily understood by students learning French as a foreign language. In terms of grammar, the focus is primarily on the use of descriptive adjectives
At the end of the text, a set of exercises have been provided to ensure that the student has understood what he/she has read. These exercises include:
• True or false
• Filling the blanks with the right adjective
• Finding a synonym from the text for a given word/expression
• Correcting the error in a given phrase
• Completing a phrase with the right conjugation of a given reflexive verb
• Translating phrases from English to French
• Translating phrases from French to English
• Writing task
Writing tasks have also been added as an extension to the students learning.
