Designed for a 1 hour Y10 End of Year exam (but easily used at any point in their GCSE study), this resource is modelled on AQA English Language Paper 1 and was constructed to develop student's understanding of the Language paper format as well as give them analytical practice for their Literature GCSE text, Jekyll and Hyde.
It consists of:
- one sample excerpt of the same approximate length as you would find in the formal exam (from "Story of the Door")
- 4 questions constructed using the same focus and language of the exam paper
- mark schemes for each question, giving full possible answers as indicative response (self-written), together with a copy of the mark-scheme tables as found on AQA mock paper 1 mark schemes
PDF copy, in addition to Microsoft Word version of the resource, is included.
