Rather than just using Fleming’s Left hand Rule, this powerpoint explains how the magnetic fields of a permanent magnet and a current carrying wire (Right Hand Rule) combine to give a net catapult field and hence a catapult force whose direction depends on the directions of the field and the current. It shows how the wire is catapulted.
The final slide introduces Fleming’s Left Hand Rule .
To aid understanding everything is done in stages so that each step can be explained by the teacher.
