Students have fun multiplying with this method!
I am always looking for a variety of different strategies my students can use to solve a multiplication problem. One of those ways is the Lattice Method (aka: Gelosia Method). I am currently teaching this method to my students and they LOVE it!
I created this 5 page packet to use with my students. The packet includes a 1 page handout that lists the steps, a 2 page fold-up that can be inserted in a math journal, and a two page worksheet. The single page handout works great as a stand alone resource or could easily be made into a poster. For directions on how to make a poster visit my blog post on making posters.
