This is a set of 4 worksheets in which students translate multiplication facts to division facts and vice versa.
The resource is intended to assist students to consolidate their understanding of the relationship between multiplication and division. Each worksheet has ten multiplication facts to translate to division facts, and ten division facts to translate to multiplication facts.
Worksheet 1: Translating a multiplication fact to a single division fact and vice versa, using 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x multiplication facts. Students do not need to solve the facts.
Worksheet 2: As Worksheet 1, except the students are required to solve the facts (e.g. 5 x 2 = ?).
Worksheet 3: Translating a multiiplication fact to two division facts, and a finding the related division fact and multiplication fact to a division fact (e.g. 6 / 2 = 3 --> 6 / 3 = 2 --> 2 x 3 = 6). Note the worksheets contain the proper division symbol.
Worksheet 4: As Worksheet 2, except the students are required to solve the facts.
Each worksheet will take around 5-20 minutes to complete depending on students' ability levels.
