A4 page featuring different animal names. Mix the names together to create your own unique creature’s name. eg. shark + porcupine could be called a sharcupine. Inclusive and fun, this activity draws on children’s imagination and encourages independent thinking.
An extension to this activity could be for children to draw some of their creatures, either from memory or by researching the animals online. This could also form the basis of story writing.
