Nativity Play Script (Rhyming) KS1/2

I originally wrote this rhyming Nativity play for our 53 Year 2 children to perform and be filmed last year during Covid. However is works equally well as a live staged performance and it’s simple structure makes it straight forward to stage.
It is of course completely adaptable to fewer/more or parts can be doubled up. The format is essentially that everyone has at least one line to say so there are a lot of narrators! If your numbers are smaller just reduce the number of narrators and give each one more to say (their lines could be read if memorising is hard).
We also include all Reception and Year 1 classes at our school which is why there are so many song opportunities but you can choose how many to include in your performance. In terms of songs/carols the script just states the subject of the song as everyone has access to different material at their schools. If you do not have any access to modern songs then each category can be covered with traditional carols.
