Two presentations to cover the main functions of the liver: The first focuses on the formation of urea through deamination and the ornithine cycle, and the second relates to the detoxification of alcohol. This includes an interesting video clip from dispatches which uncovers some frightening statistics about drinking in the UK, which can then be related back to the information given on cirrhosis and liver damage.
