This lesson is designed to help students learn how to equate the coefficients in an identity, a topic that has started to crop up on the most recent specimen papers from some of the exams boards.

The lesson aims to get students comfortable with the difference between identities, expressions, equations, formulae. Before moving on to simple equations and finally on to more complex equations. Ideally aimed at a higher ability class in Y11 this would be suitable for high ability Y10's and possibly Y9's.

Activities are embedded in the slides and there is plenty of opportunity for AfL.
