Of Mice and Men - George and Lennie - Parent-Child Relationship - Close analysis of Chapter One

This is an excellent resource that I have used many times to facilitate a really close re-reading of Chapter One of Of Mice and Men. It includes two worksheets, examining the ways in which George behaves like a parent and Lennie behaves like a child. Students must use their copy of the novel to find appropriate quotations for each aspect of behaviour. It also includes an answer page with over 30 relevant quotations from Chapter One.

I've used this as a revision exercise with students working alone and also as a group or paired activity.
