Outbreak of World War One: Assassination of the Archduke (and Schlieffen)

This is an introduction lesson to how the assassination of the Duke led to the outbreak of World War One. There is a role playing activity (not labelled as such) but it allows students to be assigned a country so they can see alliances in a more physical environment.

This is for Stage 5 students, ideally Year 8, as part of the World War One and World War Two unit of work.
