An investigation involving measuring, converting between units of measurement, estimating, powers, doubling and problem solving. Low threshold / high ceiling task. Excellent many thanks for putting together and sharing these resources
A fantastic functional skills resource that I would probably use as a project towards the end of term. A very interesting idea that is sure to engage pupils and make them keen to work towards the solution. This task is particularly good because it is accessible on a very simplistic level to lower ability pupils but can be extended all the way up to the top end of GCSE with integers, powers and roots.
I remember reading about this idea when I was training and I've always meant to use it in a lesson. Perhaps now i'll actually do it! Thanks a lot for sharing.
