Paragraph & Essay Development for The Hunger Games - Literary Module

The object of this module is to help the students develop a well-rounded knowledge of how to write proper paragraphs and essays that will make intelligent reading for an audience. If students learn the asset of P.I.E., they will be set up for the long term when it comes to explaining and supporting an argument or idea.

THIS MODULE CONTAINS:
2 x Google Slideshows:
A presentation that explains how P.I.E. works, complete with examples and explanations for the instruction of the students.
A Slides activity: the students need to use this activity to present their findings to their peers.
2 x PDF versions of the Google Slideshow and the Activity for those educators who do not wish to use Google Docs.
4 x PDFs:
A Chapter-by-Chapter PDF containing two questions for each of the 27 chapters in the book. The students select which question they would like to answer.
A printable Worksheet PDF: This printout prompts the students into brainstorming and outlining their thoughts and ideas into the question they chose before filling out the Google Slides / PDF activity.
A printable Prompt Sheet PDF: the students use this sheet to remind themselves of what is required for writing good paragraphs and essays.
Instructions Sheet PDF: Guidelines for the teacher on how to use this module, and how to set up and use the Google Slides activity or the PDF activity with the students.

WHAT IS A LITERARY MODULE?

A Literary Module is a set of interactive lessons or activities that explore various elements of literary analysis based upon a book, a movie, or both, using well-known and respected Ed Tech (Educational Technology) applications like Kahoot!, Quizalize, and Google Forms.
