Introducing MRS VAN DER TRAMP verbs.
Do it now is a translation activity ( new GCSE) + review of how to form the past tense with Avoir.
Main activity: Under students' desk is placed either a card with some elements of the verb Etre and they have 70 sec. to detach it run to the board and put it in the correct order . Following the conjugation of the auxiliary, a piece of paper with MRS VAN DER TRAMP written on is hidden in the classroom, students will run to find it and have to explain what MRS VAN DER TRAMP is.
At home they will complete the rule on how to form the past tense with MRS VAN DER TRAMP.
This lesson worked very well and students were all engaged throughout the lesson.
