We all know that teaching writing to argue/ persuade can be tough with lower ability groups. I've designed this lesson to bring the use of persuasive writing into reality. Summary: Write a letter persuading the council not to issue you with a £100 parking fine using the relevant information. Pack contains: Lesson Plan (word) Map (ppt) Parking Tickets (word) Parking Charges (ppt) Incident Report (word) Council Letter (word) Best for a low ability y10 but could easily be adapted for a higher GCSE group or a KS3 class. (Inspired by a true incident :p)
