Phonics Screening -Assessment and Common Misconceptions Worksheets and Basic IWB resources.

This pack includes assessment, plans and worksheets for eleven short phonics sessions that address common misconceptions that can occur during the phonics screening - you could have longer phonics sessions and combine the ‘Teaching Concept’ and ‘Practise Concept’ to pack this into five or six sessions.

It addresses:
Clusters
Vowel or Digraph
Es (plural) or Split Digraph
Ed (suffix) or Split Digraph
Revision of taught skills

The initial ‘Cluster’ IWB is very colourful but the IWB resources after that replicate the screening word cards.

This pack does not teach sounds it assumes children are ‘secure’ in Phase 3,4 and 5 and purely focuses on misconceptions.
