A PowerPoint presentation introducing the ‘magic’ Split e in Phonics (9 slides in total)
Accompanying the presentation are 13 separate worksheets for all of the split e digraphs; a-e, e-e, ie, o-e and u-e.
The worksheets vary from underlining the split e digraph in words, to writing sentences and also distinguishing between real and alien words.
Suitable for Year 1 and Year 2.
I initially developed these worksheets for a small Year 2 phonics intervention group but they can be equally beneficial for the whole class.
