Outstanding cross curricular Holocaust lesson - descriptive emotive letter writing to Jewish sympathisers such as Schindler

This outstanding lesson is cross curricular and can be used for history, RE or literacy lessons. I received an 'outstanding' grade from my head teacher for this lesson and she was unable to think of anything at all I could improve about it. Children learn about conditions in Nazi concentration camps, find out about the actions of some of the people who helped Jews during the Holocaust and then use what they have learned to write an emotive letter. The lesson plan includes a model letter for the teacher to write on the board as an example, and ideas for higher level questioning. It also includes a very effective reflective plenary. All high quality resources required are included in the 'bundle'.
