A five-part series exploring the transition from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4.

Sessions include:

  • Session 1: What I wish I knew (advice from current year 9 and 10 students)
  • Session 2: Independent study
  • Session 3: Self-regulation
  • Session 4: Wellbeing: Hobbies and safe spaces (exploring who we can talk to).
  • Session 5: Options and making decisions for the future.

This has been used with a Year 8 cohort in preparation for year 9, however it can be used with a year 9 cohort. It is advised that this is used in the summer term or autumn term to prepare students for upcoming decisions surrounding options.

Comes with Powerpoint, Youtube clips, independent tasks and whole class discussions. All tasks can be projected on screen, so no printing is needed.
Adaptable for a 30 - 50 minute PSHCE lesson or tutor time.
