PRIMARY FRENCH LESSON (KS2/3): Types of accommdation, locational environment, ER verb: Habiter

Leçon 1 in our Learn as you teach Level 2 French Out & About unit: OBJECTIVE: To describe accommodation. AGE RANGE: (8-13); KS2 (KS3 Less able/Special Needs)
CONTENTS: (i) A power point presentation with a range of native speaker sound files attached to every item of language with animation designed to support both learners and presenters: Starter: Verb Picture Match activity: Aimer; Screens 3-4: Lesson objective and key structures (Verb presentation: Habiter; Screen 5: First person singular of Habiter in engaging question and answer format with types of accommodation; Screen 6: Third person plural of Habiter with locational environment (Town/Country) Screen 7: First/Second person plural of Habiter again in engaging question and answer format with types of accommodation. Sound files have been extended to include both accommodation and location. Plenary: Animated grammar close activity with Habiter.
(ii) A lesson plan with screen by screen guidance on how to present the show to pupils including a complete French/English vocabulary for the whole of the Level 2 Out & About Unit with grammar notes;
(iii) A b/w illustrated worksheet with 3 differentiated tasks that has been directly linked to the main body of the power point show.
(iv) FREE Level 2 MFL work scheme detailing the other objectives in the unit and where the lesson falls in the teaching scheme.
