It covers how the intensity and wavelength of emitted radiation depends on the temperature of the body, explaining that the power radiated and absorbed must be the same to maintain a body at a constant temperature and what happens when it is not balanced, factors that affect the energy absorbed and radiated and explaining how these factors affect the temperature of the Earth.
The resource is appropriate for Triple Science classes, Foundation and Higher tiers. (Note: the order and coding for combined and triple science are different for Topic 5, this is lesson 7 for Triple classes and is not needed in the combined science specification).
