There are two Eids
-
- Eid al Fitr immediately following the fasting month of Ramadan
- Eid al Adha as the culmination of the Hajj (Pilgrimage) rites.
The various PPs are suitable for different phases and the 2 documents include the words: Eid Mubarak in Arabic for displays or card making.
A teacher’s basic guide to Eid with some craft ideas, and a list of resources (books, dvds etc) are also included, as is a link to a wonderful pictorial article on Hajj from The Boston Globe.

Very useful resource, yet needs to be simplified before teaching. It might be a good idea to pre teach some of the hard/intense vocabulary.
Thanks, I partcularly like the Hajj/Islam Quiz ppt. Some of others need more explanation.
Some useful pictures etc but more useful for teachers trying to learn it themselves rather than as an overall resource for students. I think this need to be made clearer - considering Hajj is usually taught in years 7 or 8
