Range of homework for English writing

Here is a selection of writing homework that really helped promote the quality of my writing in class. I have also noticed a positive engagement in the number of pupils actually asking for homework and looking forward to seeing the next image. Using a strong source such as a video or imagery has inspirational affects on the learners. It gives them a strong starting position to start and engage positively in their writing. On the back of this, we shared our favourite pieces both to the class and parents. This also greatly developed the endurance of our writers.

The majority are aimed at developing descriptive writing. However, I have tweaked a few so you can see how easily you could adjust them to suit any style of writing.
