This unit is a series of six lessons and all resources for the Understanding Christianity Gospel Unit “What would Jesus do?” These lessons are based on Understanding Christianity CORE LEARNING planning.
Activities include a detailed Sermon on the Mount guided reading comprehension; Sermon on the Mount mindmap activity; Wise and Foolish Builders comprehension; foundations for Christians and non-Christians Venn Diagram task; Jesus as miracle worker statement ordering task; Christian dialogue about Jesus’ miracles activity; study of four components of prayer; Lord’s Prayer activity based on four components of prayer; write a prayer for a Christian to use; how can Christians follow Jesus to improve the world table sorting activity; interview with a prison chaplain; and a final What is wonderful about the world? mindmap task.
Lessons include videos, group/partner discussion, group tasks, individual tasks and making links to children’s own lives. All resources are included, and there is a printing requirement list for the whole unit. Please note - the SMART and PowerPoint contain the same content, but you need Notebook software to open SMART.
