Each lesson starts with a sticky knowledge retrieval quiz and vocabulary activity.
Activities include a Creation story video; Noah’s Ark comprehension; Noah’s Ark dramatic story retelling; mindmaps of Noah’s qualities and actions for God; Noah hot seat activity; Noah character description group task; big question circle time discussion; description of God linked to Noah’s story group task; Noah and his family following God paragraph; Things we can stop/Things we can’t stop activity linked to God’s flood; table contract and remembering promises task; matching organisations to their promises activity; wedding promise scavenger hunt; a look at Christian weddings, pacts and promises; wedding promise vocabulary task; group task looking at scenarios when people should say sorry; drawing and writing task based on saying sorry; and final paragraph answering the big question What is it like to follow God? linking to all learning about Christian belief in following God linked to Noah’s story.
Lessons include videos, group/partner discussion, group tasks, individual tasks and making links to children’s own lives. All resources are included, and there is a printing requirement list for the whole unit. Please note - the SMART and PowerPoint contain the same content, but you need Notebook software to open SMART.
