At my school, I have developed these cards for both pupil self-assessment as well as teachers setting targets for their class. The cards can be trimmed and stuck in books, or made available for children during each lesson.
At the beginning of the lesson, the teacher indicates the objective(s) to be covered using the numbering system down the side of the page. At the end of the lesson, pupils can self-assess themselves as 'red' (early access to the objective), 'amber' (good access, but more needed) or 'green' (secure understanding of the objective.
All objectives follow the Curriculum for England 2014 and match the End of Year Expectations for each year group.
