please let me know of any resources you find that may help inform our classes about the conflict in the Middle East - aiming for a greater understanding of the issues underlying both sides of the conflict and pointing towards hope + enduring peace.

Wow. Interesting resources, but I believe this file is extremely unbalanced and pro-Palestianian. The pro Israeli argument offered is not representative of what is disseminated in the Israeli media: for example, most Israeli service people, whilst they dislike having to do their job, see the necessity of being a part of safety and security of their nation and consequently do not agree with Peter Swartz's Israeli soldier account. That soldier is an outlier and only serves to back up the popular, unexamined argument that Israel is aggressive. I don't see anything on the incessant mortar attacks on schools, villages near the border either. The resources are selected to maintain the (British) popular view that the conflict is about an abused people and is therefore unbalanced. Won't be using it.
