This is a complete introductory mastery lesson on rearranging formulae using the Singapore bar modelling method. As this is an introductory lesson there are no powers involved in any of the questions.

The lesson includes a starter activity based on solving equations (from AQA's topic tests).

A clear explanation on how to use the bar model to rearrange equations. (Starts with using numbers first and then builds in unknown variables)

Loads of examples given at each step and practice questions for students to attempt.

A mastery worksheet split into 3 sections (fluency, reasoning and problem solving) so students can master the topic.

Answers for the worksheet.

Plenary question getting students to rearrange a real life formula.

If you would like to change the year in the PowerPoint (I have taught this topic to year 10) all you need to do is to view slide master and change the master slide.

If you are just looking for a rearranging formulae worksheet, I have uploaded my worksheet separately, the link for this is below.

Some questions from exam papers. Not many for 9-1 at present so repeated is disappointing.
