Introduction to refraction. The starter idea is if the skier hits the road the skis slow down, if they hit at an angle the nearside ski hits first, slows first and hence the skier turns in towards the road (but not to 90o), and the reverse happens on the way out. Pupils sketch this using two different colours to show the peak and trough of the wave.
