A one off interview/observed lesson based around a clip from the BBC adaptation of The Borrowers to teach relative clauses. Designed for year 5 children but useful for year 6 revision too. Includes concrete opportunities to ‘drop in’ relative clauses to sentences. Links could be made with parenthesis and many other areas of the English curriculum. Lesson is fully differentiated and resources and could be expanded to cover multiple lessons easily.
