A 12-page resource pack featuring an original text describing the history and traditions of Remembrance Day in the UK with around 3 hours’ worth of accompanying activities for ESL/EAL/ESOL students at Entry 3 / B1 level.
Activities practise all 4 skills - speaking, listening, reading and writing and there are also vocabulary activities and a short grammar focus on gerunds.
Suitable for classroom use or individual study.
Answers are included.
Materials are provided as PDF and word documents so they can be edited to suit your own purpose.

CAUTION! The texts and activities are deliberately neutral with no references to any sides being in the right in any conflict, and no discussion of the rights or wrongs of war. There are no images of warfare, but there are images of soldiers marching with rifles. Nevertheless, this topic might be sensitive for some students, especially those who have fled conflict. Please use with caution and only with students who you feel will not be negatively affected by the topic.
