Remembrance Day Poetry Lessons

2 Remembrance Day lessons with a poetry focus suitable for year 7 or lower ability year 8. The first lesson analyses the poem ‘For the Fallen’ by Laurence Binyon. Looks at the language of the poem and the idea of commemorating the fallen hero. The second lesson considers the forgotten heroes and students generate their own poetic tributes to honour them.
