Counting One More and One Less - Year 1

In this KS1 maths teaching resource pupils are introduced to the language of one more and one less. They use their counting skills to help them identify that 1 more is the number after and 1 less is the number before the starting number. These activities cover the year 1 curriculum objectives in the maths programme of study (Number - number and place value) and supports the White Rose small steps guidance for year 1 - Autumn - Block 1 - Place Value.
