This resource has been designed for Entry Level 3 students working towards Functional Skills Maths qualifications at Level 1 (Edexcel-Pearson, NCFE, City and Guilds, AQA, Highfield Qualifications, NOCN, Open Awards). It contains an age-appropriate, 59-page workbook and a 160-slide PowerPoint lesson on time.

Workbook

The 59-page workbook contains 20 explanation pages, 36 worksheets, 2 progress checks and a certificate of achievement. It is provided in PDF and an editable PowerPoint version. It can be used for classwork, homework, revision or as an independent learning pack.

PowerPoint Lesson

The editable PowerPoint explains how to convert between units of time and between 12 and 24-hour time. It provides many opportunities for pupils to practice their conversion skills and to apply these skills to solve real-life problems involving time. The PowerPoint contains a link to a video on time and example exam questions. It is ideal for introducing pupils to the time component of the specification and for revision purposes.
