A very moving and inspirational documentary looking at the lives of people with five rare conditions:

Neurofibromatosis Type 1
Ectodermal Dysplasia
Recovering from a catastrophic stroke
MDP Syndrome
The UK’s tallest family

The film comprises interviews in which people tell their stories: their own histories, beliefs, coping with daily life. This has been a great resource in PSHE lessons about disability, diversity, and body-image. Please watch the whole film first before deciding how to use it.

Find the film by searching YouTube’s BBC Earth Science channel for “Meet Those With Inspirational Lives | BBC Earth Science”.

19 questions for the 37-min film. Differentiated! Both versions look very similar, but “B” version has subtle clues. Answer sheet. Very easy to mark. .doc and .pdf of all sheets, link to film on all sheets.
