This is a heavily modified version of the Question Doom powerpoint, located at https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/question-doom-a-question-game-6170747 - It has been used many times with a range of age groups as a revision activity.
The rules are:
1. Class divides into teams, with each team represented by a spaceship.
2. Teams have 10 minutes to write revision questions for a topic, which are used to 'attack' other teams.
3. Starting with a random team, students choose who to attack by asking a question. Click the green bar for a one minute timer, click it again to reset.
4. If the attacked team is unable to answer correctly, or runs out of time, they take a hit. Click the spaceship and a fire will appear. The attacking team then gets another turn, but cannot attack the same team twice.
5. A correct answer reflects the attack, so the questioning team takes a hit. At this point the next team numerically takes a turn.
6. If time is short in the lesson, click the black button in the bottom left for an 'alien attack'. The teacher asks a question and all teams must answer it on a whiteboard. All teams with wrong answers take a hit.
7. After 3 hits a ship will explode. The last surviving team wins.
With ten minutes to write questions the game lasts almost exactly an hour.
Most of the credit to user alessio for the game idea - I have just tried to make it slightly easier to use.
