Road safety PowerPoint presentation for 8-11 year-olds

This presentation is free to download using the link at the bottom of this page, thanks to funding from the Department for Transport. It is suitable for use on interactive whiteboards (or simply using powerpoint on a computer and projector) in classes of 8-11 year-olds. It takes approximately an hour to deliver. It includes: - teachers’ notes to accompany every slide, with additional information. You can print off the whole presentation, including these notes, so you can have these in front of you during the lesson - a discussion on the different ways we use roads and the pros and cons of different modes of transport - exercises to identify dangerous behaviour and hazards on roads - advice for children on staying safe as pedestrians, cyclists and in cars
