Rock Types

Sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous rocks are recreated using chocolate, Epsom Salts, marshmallows and the baking of rock cakes! Children are encouraged to take a close look at rocks with a magnifying glass and enjoy simple experiments which help them to learn more about their unique features and formation.

Children will enjoy make guide books packed with information and photographs of each rock type.
