Russian: house, interior, art, design, like/dislike, Prepositional case

This 13-page resource contains 7 pictures by modern and impressionist artists and 6 vocabulary exercises. Each picture is accompanied by 10-15 questions to encourage speaking.

The resourse is appropriate for Russian GCSE (my home subtopic) and can be used for a higher level students with teachers’ support.

The questions provided with the pictures help practise such grammar/vocab topics as:

• use of Prepositional case to denote location and position
• use of such verbs as стоять, лежать, висеть, ставить, вешать, класть
• words to describe interior
• a variety of adjectives to describe a room
• expressing likes/dislikes in regards to the picture
• practice of subjunctive mood (e.g. ты бы хотел жить в таком доме? Что бы ты изменил в этой комнате?)

The questions can further facilitate a discussion on a wider topic of art, style, artists, etc.
