Schlieffen Plan and a Day in the Life in the Trenches

This resource gives information on the Schlieffen Plan and what living in a trench was life. For the Schlieffen Plan, students learn what the Germans assumed about the plan (ex. Britain would not defend Belgium) then discover what actually happened (ex. Britain joined the war to defend their ally.) Then, students will hear a story about living in the trenches from waking up in the morning to going to bed at nighttime.
