I used this to finish the cryptography topic with SEN students- once they were practised in decoding and used staff members and humour to engage them in the mystery. I cannot stress how much fun the students had and I just watched them scramble around the room decoding and then moving on the the next clue I’d hidden.
Easily adaptable to be longer/more difficult.
