A differentiated Learning mat meant to support a class with a different range of abilities. Presented in a Nando’s format to test the level of spiciness, from Lemon and Lime to Extra Hot. Mark Scheme is provided with this task for the children to mark themselves and the highest number of points will lead to the winning team.
- Meant to be used for a fun group work activity and there is a space to create a fun team name within the class.
Different levels of ‘spice’ tasks included:
Lemon and Lime: Evaporation and Filtration: fill in the blanks, label and draw the equipment, cross out the correct key word and TRUE/FALSE.
*** MIld*** Chromatography: Fill in the blanks, label the different phases. Answer recall questions and finally simple exam questions.
Hot: Distillation: Fill in the blanks, comparing the different apparatus, exam style questions
***Extra Hot *** Exam style question which uses different skills from particles to apply their knowledge.
