Used as a revision resource for Year 7 at the end of the Chemistry Particle model. Should be used as a group activity or in pairs. Separated into
Filtration, Evaporation, Chromatography and Distillation. Mark Scheme is included within this resource.
When I did this with my top set Year 7 class, I gave them 15 minutes to complete this within groups of three, and got them to mark it for 6 minutes (max) and gave them exam style questions straight afterwards. Then I rewarded the winning team.
There are a range of different formats of questions from
- Fill in the blanks
- Label the equipment
- Label which is has more solubility on the diagram.
- Exam style questions
- True or False.
