Sexism PSHE
Subject: Personal, social and health education
Age range: 11-14
Resource type: Lesson (complete)
A brand new lesson which explores why we still have sexism in society (with a focus on the UK). In the lesson, students investigate old tv commercials and explain whether or not they would be still suitable for modern audiences. Students will assess how attitudes have changed, as well as exploring cases affecting both males and females in the workplace and public today. Students will then analyse the best methods for fighting against sexism and gender discrimination in wider society, explaining why they have chosen these methods as the most effective. Includes lesson plan.
This has been created to cover the DfE and PSHE Association guidance for 2020-24 and will last you one hour. Everything is editable.
Activities are scaffolded, there is a detailed and colourful PowerPoint, clip tasks, partnered tasks, worksheets, literacy tasks, detailed information pack, signposting to further help agencies and charities, clear outcomes and also progress measurers. Includes optional assessment sheet.
It is fully editable, engaging and very easy to follow.
