Simultaneous Equations - Introductory Exercises

To introduce Simultaneous Equations, start with drawing the equations of the straight lines. Questions are designed using variation to promote mathematical thinking.
We then work through different methods of solving simultaneous equations: equating variables, and substitution. Only then will we look at elimination (we have a perfectly adequate text book to provide practice questions for this - so I have not created worksheets - once we have worked through this unit I may change my mind :-) )
